Device-independent bitmap image format originally used by Dr. Halo software but now supported by several other programs; supports 8 bits per pixel for a total of 256 colors.
CUT files reference a palette of colors, which is stored in a separate .PAL file; without a PAL file reference, CUT files appear as grayscale images. |
