A ZDB file may also be a data file created by Intuit Quicken, a financial management app. It stores financial data entered by a user, such as their employer and bank account. Quicken no longer stores data in ZDB files.

More Information

Intuit Quicken is an application that helps you manage and track your financial accounts. The software comes with budgeting tools, recording capabilities, and organizational features for staying on top of your finances.

Older versions of Quicken used ZDB files to store financial data that the software referenced when loading information in the app. Since only early versions of Quicken software use ZDB files, you will not find ZDB files with recent versions of the software.

How to open a ZDB file

You should not attempt to open ZDB files. Instead, Intuit Quicken references the ZDB file. However, Quicken no longer supports ZDB files.
