Software Overview

Apple Pages for iOS is a word processing app for iPhone and iPad devices. The app enables you to create a variety of documents such as reports and resumes.

Pages for iOS supports the Pages '08 and '06 formats as well as the Office Open XML (OOXML) DOCX format. It can also export a document to the PDF and ePub formats. The app allows you to add text, shapes, images, video, tables, and charts to your document. If you don't want to create your document from scratch, Pages comes with numerous Apple-designed templates such as a school newsletter and a kids certificate. Also, the app allows you to view and restore past changes to your document.

Pages for iOS uses iCloud to sync with the OS X version of Pages, which allows you to seamlessly work on the same document on different devices. When you are finished with your work, you can quickly share your document through a variety of avenues including AirDrop, Message, email, Twitter, and Facebook.

Pages for iOS is designed primarily as a complement to the OS X version of Pages. It supports the OOXML DOCX format and gives you some helpful tools for creating rich documents. However, the app is not on the same level as Microsoft Word for iOS, which is a better choice for creating and editing your documents on a mobile device.
